    Job description

Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager - Rochester, NY

Rochester, NY provides access to Fisher's headquarters and a broad multidisciplinary team spanning environmental, civil, planning, energy, and other technical services. That combination creates a strong setting for a senior professional who can connect environmental expertise, project delivery, and client development.

You'll provide leadership across Energy + Environment projects while working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and subcontractors. From project budgets and schedules to environmental compliance, permitting, proposals, and regulatory negotiations, you'll help guide complex projects from early planning through closeout.

For a senior professional who wants to combine technical expertise with business development and team leadership, this position offers the opportunity to build relationships, mentor employees, influence project strategy, and contribute directly to the continued growth of Fisher's Energy + Environment practice.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead new business development efforts and manage mid- to large-scale energy and environmental projects.
    • Oversee program-wide projects, including project setup, planning, safety analysis, kickoff, scope, schedule, staffing, and budgets.
    • Develop project strategies and design approaches that meet client objectives while maintaining regular communication with clients and managers.
    • Manage project billing, client updates, QA/QC, project closeout, and compliance with project plans.
    • Prepare compliant project proposals and serve as Proposal Manager and primary client contact throughout the proposal process.
    • Navigate complex public processes, municipal approvals, regulatory requirements, and environmental permitting.
    • Represent clients in agency meetings, manage subcontractors, negotiate regulatory conditions, and provide technical guidance to project teams and employees.
