    Job description

Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager - Buffalo, NY

Buffalo, NY is a strong Western New York market for energy, environmental, utility, and infrastructure professionals who understand complex permitting, environmental compliance, and project delivery. The region's industrial, transportation, utility, and renewable-energy activity creates opportunities for experienced professionals who can connect technical expertise with client and regulatory needs.

You'll provide project, technical, and business-development leadership across Energy + Environment programs. The role combines project management, environmental compliance, permitting, regulatory coordination, proposal development, agency interaction, client management, and technical guidance across multidisciplinary teams.

For an experienced professional looking to have a broader influence on projects and practice growth, this role provides the opportunity to build client relationships, lead complex work, mentor teams, and help expand Fisher's Energy + Environment capabilities across Western New York and beyond.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead new business development efforts and manage mid- to large-scale energy and environmental projects.
    • Oversee program-wide projects, including project setup, planning, safety analysis, kickoff, scope, schedule, staffing, and budgets.
    • Develop project strategies and design approaches that meet client objectives while maintaining regular communication with clients and managers.
    • Manage project billing, client updates, QA/QC, project closeout, and compliance with project plans.
    • Prepare compliant project proposals and serve as Proposal Manager and primary client contact throughout the proposal process.
    • Navigate complex public processes, municipal approvals, regulatory requirements, and environmental permitting.
    • Represent clients in agency meetings, manage subcontractors, negotiate regulatory conditions, and provide technical guidance to project teams and employees.
