ROLE SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be able to perform a variety of specialized journey-level electrical functions including maintenance, operations, installation, repair, replacement, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities on low voltage and medium-voltage electric utility systems and equipment. The ideal candidate can apply knowledge of electrical principles, safely use tools, and troubleshoot and solve problems. Manual dexterity and the ability to communicate and collaborate with others are essential.
PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES
- Perform journey-level electrical work in industrial settings.
- Perform instrument setup on pumps, like but not limited to; installing temperature sensors, setup vibration system, connect instrument to data acquisition system and troubleshoots such instrument when they malfunction.
- Working with different types of command or signals used in instrumentations like but not limited to milliamp (mA), millivolt (mV), Voltage (V) and current (A).
- Working with PLC and variable frequency drive (VFD).
- Perform maintenance, switching operations, installation, repair, replacement, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning on transformers, switches, power circuit breakers, switchgears, cables, protective relays, metering circuits, motor control circuits, and other electrical equipment used in the distribution of electric power from low voltage of 24V up to medium voltage of 15kV range.
- Installing, modifying, and replacing electrical circuit system
- Troubleshooting electrical circuits and motor control circuits
- Prepare and deliver reports; fill out preventative maintenance requests, deficiency reports, and work orders using a computer.
- Support maintenance, assembly and test department for their electrical needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
- HS Diploma/GED with relevant electrical experience of 5-7 years.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship and have valid Electrician Certification.
- Should meet Electrician levels 13 & 14, Requirements and Responsibilities
- Journey-level skills, knowledge and abilities in the electrician trade experienced in industrial settings, including proficiency in the use of all tools of the trade.
- Ability to stand for prolonged period, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and regularly lifting or moving 10 pounds up to 50 pounds.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduit.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The pay range for this role is $39.75 - $59.66 per hour.
