Senior Site Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Site Manager to join our high performing project teams in the Netherlands.

REPORTING TO:                Senior Project Manager/Contracts Manager

Purpose of Role

Lead and oversee site operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role would suit an experienced construction professional with a strong background across all aspects of project delivery.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure the client’s expectations are met by delivering a quality product to the end user while fostering professional and collaborative relationships with design teams and client representatives.

• Maintain the highest standards in health and safety, quality and client service, ensuring that contracts are completed safely, in line with the programme, within budget and snag free.

• Report progress, risks and key issues accurately and in a timely manner to the Project Manager and Contracts Manager.
• Lead, manage and coordinate site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed to the required standard with little or no rework.
• Plan, coordinate and execute the works, taking ownership of site delivery in accordance with the contract documents and project programme.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with the construction management team, design team, subcontractors, client representatives and supply chain.
• Resource, sequence and schedule works in line with the project construction programme, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays.
• Work closely with the Project QS and wider project team, providing early notice of commercial, programme and delivery issues.

The Candidate

• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the construction industry, site management and the delivery of large, complex projects.

• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or a similar scheduling package.

• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Keen eye for quality and finishes, with a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong leadership and reporting skills.
• Self-starter with sound judgement and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong people manager with the ability to lead, motivate and drive site teams and subcontractors.
• Commercially conscious, with strong awareness of project cost, risk, programme and market conditions.
