About the Role
As a General Accounting Intern, you will support the accounting team in processing transactions, verifying financial data, and assisting in billing and reconciliation activities. You will gain hands-on experience in accounting operations, particularly in managing transactions related to e-commerce partners and service accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction and Payment Support
- Assist in reviewing and verifying payments, fees, rebates, and transactions from e-commerce partners
- Support payment confirmation for service-related transactions
- Help ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Billing and Documentation
- Assist in preparing and sending billing statements and Statements of Account (SOA) using tools such as automated billing systems and Google Mail Merge
- Collate and organize sales and service invoices for client transmittal
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect and analyze data on operational costs and transactions
- Support identification of trends and provide insights related to e-commerce transactions
- Assist in preparing reports for internal use
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Technology & Innovation, Logistics, and Marketing & Product Management
- Support coordination of requirements related to financial transactions and reporting
Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Management Accounting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
- Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Nice-to-Have (Optional but recommended!)
- Familiarity with accounting concepts or financial documentation
- Experience using tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, or accounting systems (e.g., Xero)
- Interest in data analysis or process improvement
