    Your Role

As a Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient supply of raw materials to support manufacturing operations across the business. You will play a key role in responding to changing operational requirements, resolving supply issues and maintaining strong relationships across the supply chain.

    Your Responsibilities

    Logistics & Planning

    • Ensure continuity of supply and quality of designated raw materials at the best possible cost, making any necessary adjustments to delivery schedules to meet mill demand.
    • Manage raw material supply contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with contract validity periods, rent due dates and geographical location requirements.
    • Anticipate and resolve short-term supply issues in the most cost-effective manner, escalating to the Raw Material Manager and Formulator where appropriate.
    • Monitor and track raw material orders to ensure deliveries arrive at mills on time and in line with operational requirements.
    • Process purchase requisitions raised by Mill Planners into purchase orders where required, using relevant contracts and information records.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and Mill Planners, identifying opportunities to improve operational practices and minimise unnecessary costs.

    Storage & Haulage

    • Monitor and control storage and rental costs, ensuring these are kept to a minimum.
    • Liaise with storekeepers to ensure the effective storage and collection of raw materials and resolve routine operational queries.
    • Maintain effective relationships with third-party haulage providers, promoting high standards of cleanliness, traceability and service.
    • Ensure haulage and storage activities are carried out in accordance with the TASCC Code of Practice.
    • Support supplier, haulier and storage audits as required.

    Contract Administration

    • Ensure contracts are extended, amended or closed in a timely manner to maintain the accuracy and integrity of contract records.
    • Manage quality-related claims for nominated raw materials where delivered quality falls below contractual specifications.
    • Investigate and resolve contract-related queries in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

    General

    • Provide support and cover for colleagues within the Raw Material Logistics team during periods of absence.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support the wider objectives of the team.
    • Undertake any other duties reasonably required and commensurate with the role.

    About You
