Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintains sewage lines, sprinkler systems and building fire suppression systems.
· Maintains chillers, cooling towers and associated equipment.
· Maintains operation of boilers, furnaces and other heating equipment.
· Maintains closed loop water systems; tests and treats water as necessary.
· Maintains equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
· Troubleshoot and repairs of AC-DC control circuits and motors.
· Troubleshoot and repair low- and high-voltage electrical systems (mill volt up to 480 volts).
· Troubleshoot and repair single- and three-phase electrical circuits.
· Troubleshoot and repair direct digital controls and standard electric controls.
· Troubleshoot and repair computerized building management systems.
· Assists in preparing annual budgets and recommends cost control measures for area of responsibility.
· Assists with operation and repairs of the baggage handling system.
· Assists in the training of other personnel and supervise as necessary.
· Reports on any irregularities and abnormal operating conditions.
· Operates small and large snow-removal equipment and applies ice-control materials during seasonal weather events.
· Complies with and enforces OSHA and safety regulations.
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities
· Must have knowledge of electricity, electrical wiring, and electrical HVAC controllers.
· Must have knowledge of plumbing systems: domestic, sanitary sewer and fire suppression systems.
· Must have the knowledge of closed-looped heating and cooling systems.
· Must have knowledge of single- and three-phase motors.
· Must have knowledge of computerized building management systems.
· Knowledge of aviation two-way radio communications and air traffic control procedures.
· Ability to work off of ladders or highly elevated locations such as bucket truck platforms and roof tops.
· Ability to implement and adhere to a systematic maintenance and inspection program.
· Ability to diagnose problems and make sound decisions to maintain equipment at peak operating efficiency.
· Ability to direct and coordinate the work of others assigned to maintenance projects.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Experience and Education Requirements
High school equivalent education with at least 3 years of experience in commercial/Industrial heating, air conditioning, plumbing system repair or building maintenance.
Must hold or be able to obtain a Universal Refrigerant License.
Technology & Systems Proficiency Requirements
The position requires working knowledge with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
Special Requirements
· Pass a pre-hire DOT drug screen and random alcohol and drug testing.
· Pass federal fingerprint based criminal history background check.
· Must be able to obtain a FWACAA-issued AOA Driving Privileges
· Available for recall during non-duty hours for emergencies, snow removal or other required duties
· Must have a valid Operator Driver’s License, a Commercial Driver's License Class B or higher is preferred.
· Allen County HVAC Journeyman’s License preferred.
