    Job description

    National Account Manager, Electrical Distribution

    Location: Americas (Remote)

Reports to: Director, North American Commercial Sales

    Role Summary

Fluke's promise to every customer is simple: always give them a little more than they paid for. As National Account Manager, Electrical Distribution, you'll bring that promise to life by supporting and managing key electrical distribution partners — owning account plans, digging into the data, and driving growth through strong relationship management, account execution, and channel development.

This role offers a strong development path into strategic account leadership and broader national account responsibility. You'll own your assigned accounts, with coaching and support from your manager as you build toward larger account ownership over time. It also rewards curiosity — using AI-enabled tools and account data to spot patterns and turn analysis into smarter, faster growth for the partners you manage.

    Key Responsibilities

    Account Management & Planning

    • Manage assigned electrical distribution accounts, owning achievement of sales and profitability objectives.
    • Develop and execute annual business plans with distributor partners to drive sales growth and market share gains.
    • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and account planning activities.

    Relationship & Channel Management

    • Build productive relationships with distributor sales teams, product managers, procurement professionals, branch leadership, and operations personnel.
    • Partner closely with field sales teams to improve alignment and strengthen execution within assigned distributors.
    • Support execution of channel programs, promotions, training initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
    • Develop a strong understanding of distributor go-to-market models, category management practices, and sales processes.

    Business Analysis & Reporting

    • Analyze POS, inventory, bookings, and market performance data to identify business opportunities and risks.
    • Conduct routine business reviews with assigned partners to evaluate performance against growth objectives.
    • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity, and communicate insights to leadership.
    • Utilize AI-enabled productivity and analytics tools to improve account management effectiveness.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall distributor satisfaction.
    • Support adoption of company programs that improve sales effectiveness and customer engagement.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of sales, account management, channel management, or distribution experience.
    • Experience working with electrical, industrial, construction, safety, HVAC, or industrial supply distributors preferred.
    • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute against business objectives.
    • Working knowledge of sales analytics, forecasting, CRM tools, and business planning processes.
    • Ability to analyze business performance data and translate insights into action plans.
    • Comfort collaborating across functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and product management.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

    Preferred Experience & Skills

    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Experience utilizing AI-assisted productivity and analytics tools.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
