Pump Tech III

Summary:

Installs, evaluates, services for fluid ends and power ends on fracturing equipment in home facility or on customer location or customer facility. Competent in speaking with customers concerning equipment and applies knowledge and experience to troubleshooting situations. Inspect, diagnose, repair the pump when it shows up to facility or at customer location. Provide service to customers by answering emergency service calls and technical support if needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Effectively demonstrate the core values of F-E-T.
• Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance.
• Perform work in a professional and safe manner, report unsafe work practices

• Must understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Valid class C driver license to drive service trucks
• Able to identify, evaluate, install, and repair power end equipment on fracturing pumps
• Able to prepare detailed inspections
• Work with minimal supervision
• Self-starter
• Capable of performing on the job training of equipment.
• Work assignments carried out to highest quality level.
• Knowledge of reading precise measuring tools in job spec
• Knowledge of handling torquing equipment
• Managing inventory for process of job requirements
• Perform other routine duties as requested

Skills/Knowledge

• High mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and comprehensive pre and post job reporting
• Thorough knowledge of computers, printers, and software including Excel.
• Thorough knowledge of oil field frac terminology and processes.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment.
• Experience as a pump mechanic.

Education

• High School Diploma required.
• Technical training or the equivalent preferred.

Experience

• 5-7 years of pump mechanic experience.
