About the role:
The Banquet Manager is responsible for leading the daily operation of the Banquet Department, overseeing event execution, team performance, and service delivery across meetings, weddings, social celebrations, and special events. This role ensures all functions are executed according to event specifications and Four Seasons standards while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and genuine hospitality. This position is part of the Food & Beverage division and works closely with Sales & Catering and resort operational leadership.
What you will do:
- Lead the planning, organization, and execution of banquet events and catered functions
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop banquet team members and supervisors to consistently deliver exceptional service
- Maintain a visible leadership presence during events and serve as a key point of contact for guests, clients, and group organizers
- Oversee event setup and execution according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring all details and special requests are delivered accurately
- Partner closely with Catering & Conference Services, Culinary, Stewarding, and other resort departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Conduct pre-function meetings and clearly communicate event details, service expectations, and assignments to the Banquets team
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, timing, and service standards throughout each event
- Build strong relationships with clients and guests, anticipating needs and resolving concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage scheduling, labor, inventory, and operational resources to support efficient banquet operations
- Maintain departmental standards, operating procedures, and service expectations
- Inspect banquet facilities, equipment, and function spaces to ensure exceptional presentation and operational readiness
- Participate in operational meetings and communicate upcoming business and event requirements across departments
- Support event setup, breakdown, and food and beverage service during high-volume periods when necessary
- Identify opportunities to continuously elevate the banquet guest experience and improve operational efficiency
What you bring:
- College degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, or equivalent experience preferred
- Progressive leadership experience within Banquets, Catering, Events, or Food & Beverage operations
- Previous Banquet Assistant Manager, Banquet Manager, or comparable Food & Beverage leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations, event execution, food and beverage service, and guest engagement
- Previous experience leading and developing teams in a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale event environment preferred
- Knowledge of labor management, cost control, inventory management, and operational planning
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with event management systems, hospitality technology, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
