    Job description

    About Four Seasons:

Four Seasons is powered by our people. We are a collective of individuals who crave to become better, to push ourselves to new heights and to treat each other as we wish to be treated in return. Our team members around the world create amazing experiences for our guests, residents, and partners through a commitment to luxury with genuine heart. We know that the best way to enable our people to deliver these exceptional guest experiences is through a world-class employee experience and company culture.
At Four Seasons, we believe in recognizing a familiar face, welcoming a new one and treating everyone we meet the way we would want to be treated ourselves. Whether you work with us, stay with us, live with us or discover with us, we believe our purpose is to create impressions that will stay with you for a lifetime. It comes from our belief that life is richer when we truly connect to the people and the world around us.

    About the location:

A historic landmark with modern energy. History comes to life with modern energy at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. In the very heart of the capital – within walking distance of all the key attractions – seven historic buildings have been transformed into one dynamic destination. With rooftop dining by Spanish celebrity chef Dani García, Asian-Mediterranean cuisine at our award-winning modern cocktail bar and restaurant Isa, and a four-level Wellness Centre with a sun-splashed pool terrace, Four Seasons is bringing a new level of luxury and service to locals and guests alike.

    About the role:

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Head Waiter with a strong wine knowledge to join our ISA team. We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to delivering exceptional quality and personalized service to our guests. This role requires not only excellence in food service, but also the ability to confidently guide guests through our wine offerings, recommend pairings, and contribute to a memorable dining experience.

    What you will do:

    • Describe the selection of food, beverage, and wine menu items to guests by offering engaging and knowledgeable descriptions of each item's origin, flavour profile, production methods, and pairing recommendations.
    • Provide professional wine service and confidently recommend wines based on guests’ preferences, menu selections, and pairing opportunities, enhancing the overall dining experience.
    • Communicate guest orders, including any special needs or requests, to the kitchen and bar teams.
    • Coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders against the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
    • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
    • Support the management of the wine program by assisting with wine inventory control, stock counts, cellar organization, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
    • Monitor wine stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to ensure the availability of key labels and vintages.
    • Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

    What you bring:

We are looking for highly motivated team players with a genuine passion for hospitality and wine. This role has direct contact with guests and therefore requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to create engaging dining experiences.

Candidates should have previous experience in Food & Beverage within a luxury, high-volume environment and demonstrate solid wine knowledge, including wine styles, regions, grape varieties, vintages, and food pairing principles.

A WSET qualification (Level 2 or above) and/or Court of Master Sommeliers certification is highly preferred. Candidates currently pursuing these certifications will also be considered.

    What we offer:

    • Competitive Salary, wages, and a comprehensive benefits package.
    • Excellent Training and Development opportunities.
    • Complimentary Accommodation at other Four Seasons Hotels and Resort (Employee Travel Program).
    • Complimentary Dry Cleaning for Employee Uniforms.
    • 50 natural days of vacation, and the day of the birthday free.
    • Complimentary Private Health insurance.
    • Complimentary Employee Meals.
