Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking an Aluminum Assembler to join our production team. The Aluminum Assembler at Frazer builds the bones and skin of life-saving vehicles — working across one or more production work centers to manufacture the aluminum structures, sealed exteriors, and installed systems that put EMS units on the road. It’s hands-on, precise, skilled work that matters every single shift.

What Does a Week in the Life of the Aluminum Assembler Look Like?

• Reports to the production floor at 5:00 AM, pulls the current build packet, and stages materials for the assigned work center before the line moves.

• Cleans and preps aluminum surfaces with precision — measuring, drilling, and cutting to spec before any skin or tape goes on.

• Installs aluminum skins and roof stiffeners with consistent alignment, checking squareness before moving to the next panel.

• Routes wiring harnesses and installs interior and exterior lights, working from the print with zero improvisation.

• Applies epoxy to a smooth, even finish and plans the work around the cure cycle so throughput never stalls.

• Scrubs, sands, and inspects cured epoxy — catching pinholes or gaps before the unit moves to the next stage.

• Keeps the work area staged, organized, and 5S-compliant throughout the shift.

• Walks a new assembler through the correct technique — showing, explaining, and confirming before stepping back. (Assembler III+)

Required Education and Experience:

Assembler I

• No prior manufacturing experience required — on-ramp training provided.

• Ability to read a tape measure and follow written instructions.

• Demonstrated willingness to learn and follow established processes.

Assembler II

• 6+ months as an Aluminum Assembler I at Frazer, Ltd.; HM confirmation of independent performance in at least one work center.

Assembler III

• 2+ years as an Aluminum Assembler at Frazer, Ltd.; confirmed performance in at least two work centers; demonstrated ability to train peers.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior experience in trailer, vehicle body, or sheet metal assembly.

• Familiarity with aluminum-specific assembly techniques and material handling.

• Experience with spray equipment, epoxy application, or industrial sealants.
