    What You'll Do

The Risk Management and Patient Safety Specialist (RMPSS) is responsible for advancing a culture of safety, reducing preventable harm, and promoting high reliability principles throughout the organization. In addition, the RMPSS plays a key role in mitigating organizational risk through the administration and management of professional and general liability claims and potential claims. Responsibilities include claim intake and triage, investigation and evaluation of liability exposure, identification of contributing factors and risk trends, and collaboration with operational leaders, insurers, brokers, and legal counsel to support risk management and litigation strategies. The position coordinates all aspects of the discovery process, including interrogatories, document production, record review, witness preparation, and depositions, and may represent the organization during administrative proceedings, hearings, mediations, or trials, as appropriate.
