The Senior Director (m/f/d) - Commercial Learning Lead is responsible for defining, leading and scaling Fresenius Kabi's global commercial learning capability strategy across Sales, Marketing, Key Account Management, Customer Excellence, Field Service, and Commercial Leadership populations.
The role ensures commercial teams possess the right curricula and tools to execute the company's growth strategy and drive sustainable commercial performance.
As a strategic leader within Global Commercial Excellence, the Senior Director, Commercial Learning Lead establishes the enterprise-wide learning architecture, content ecosystem, governance model and measurement approach that connect learning investments to business outcomes.
In collaboration with the Commercial Skills Lead, the role serves as the global center of excellence for commercial capability building, driving consistency across Business Units, Regions and Markets while enabling local relevance and adoption. The position operates as a highly visible strategic partner to Executive Leadership, Commercial Excellence leaders, Business Unit leaders and Regional commercial organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the global commercial capability strategy, ensuring alignment with Fresenius Kabi’s growth ambitions, commercial priorities and future organizational needs.
- Establish and govern global frameworks, standards, methodologies and operating models that drive consistent commercial execution across Business Units, Regions and Market Units.
- Develop multi-year capability and competency roadmaps for relevant target groups.
- Drive adoption of commercial excellence practices, customer engagement approaches, sales processes, and digital tools to accelerate organizational performance and transformation.
- Partner with Business Unit, Regional, and Executive Leadership teams to identify capability gaps and prioritize strategic initiatives to ultimately build organizational readiness for future business challenges.
- Lead the global commercial knowledge and learning ecosystem, ensuring effective governance and deployment of relevant tools and performance resources.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement especially through the application of AI-enabled solutions and modern approaches that enhance commercial effectiveness.
- Establish performance metrics and governance processes that link commercial excellence initiatives to measurable learning outcomes and commercial performance.
Your qualifications:
- Master's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Advanced certifications in Sales Enablement, Commercial Excellence, Learning Strategy or Leadership Development preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or related industries.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Enablement, Capability Development or Learning Strategy.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale global capability and transformation initiatives.
- Experience influencing senior executives and leading within highly matrixed global organizations.
- Deep understanding of B2B and healthcare commercial models, customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
- Strong knowledge of CRM platforms, digital learning ecosystems, AI-enabled learning technologies and commercial performance management.
