The position owns visibility over shipment milestones, drives exception management, mentors and supervises operational team members, and optimizes key performance metrics. Working closely with global leadership (US, EMEA, APAC) as well as vendors, freight forwarders, and cross-functional teams. This role strengthens supply chain reliability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead and oversee end-to-end shipment execution, order management, and ocean/air freight handoffs across origin markets to ensure timely movement against required ship windows.
    • Mentor, supervise, and develop team members across regional offices (e.g., HK & Dongguan), maintaining team cohesiveness and empowering junior management.
    • Manage full-set shipping documentation, booking adherence, cargo readiness, and milestone visibility to maintain operational compliance.
    • Provide onboarding and operational training to vendors, partners, and internal staff, while establishing SOPs to standardize workflows and enhance efficiency.
    • Drive exception management and act as the key problem solver for delays, rolled cargo, missed milestones, vendor non-compliance, and operational bottlenecks.
    • Handle customer, sales, and vendor inquiries or complaints, taking proactive steps to deliver effective solutions and minimize business impact.
    • Develop, track, and maintain operational KPI dashboards (e.g., cargo readiness, vendor compliance, freight performance) to conduct root-cause analysis and execute continuous improvements.
    • Provide regular operational reports, trend analysis, and risk assessments to senior leadership, highlighting aging issues, service impacts, and cost-efficiency opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (Sourcing, Planning, Sales, and Sales Operations) to maximize revenue and maintain production schedules.
    • Partner closely with external vendors, ocean/air carriers, and freight forwarders to drive accountability, service reliability, and execution consistency.
    • Participate in cross-functional conference calls and align initiatives with global offices (US, EMEA, and APAC), including participating outside regular office hours when required.
    • Execute corporate initiatives, manage ad-hoc logistics projects, and travel within China or overseas as needed.

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics execution, freight operations, or supply chain management—preferably within international consumer goods, toy, handbag, or apparel industries.
    • Technical Knowledge:
      • Strong expertise in origin operations, trade compliance, shipment milestones, and full-set export shipping documentation (ocean and air).
      • Proven experience in shipment execution and order management serving U.S., European, and APAC markets.
    • Leadership & Coaching: Strong supervisory, coaching, and team-building skills with a track record of empowering team members and fostering accountability.
    • Analytical & Problem-Solving:
      • Advanced analytical skills developing and using Excel and KPI reporting tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
      • Excellent exception management, negotiation, root-cause analysis, and decision-making capabilities.
    • Communication & Personal Attributes:
      • Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural teams, vendors, and freight partners.
      • Highly organized, detail-oriented, figure-sensitive, and flexible under fast-paced operational pressure.
