Project Planner

A. Responsibilities (essential to the position)

To maintain the overall Programme Master Timing Plan and issue to team on a regular basis

To collate timing plans and information from various teams for overall integration, including the Engineering Service Suppliers in UK and Germany

To maintain alignment between detailed team plans and overall Master Timing Plan

To arrange and run timing workshops with teams in UK, Germany and possibly US and China

To arrange weekly Programme Meetings and take and issue minutes

To arrange and/or support Gateway reviews and dry-runs

To communicate deliverables to team members and monitor/report progress

To support modifications to the Product Development Process

To work with tooling and part suppliers to achieve defined timing milestones

To support the administration of Project Place

B.  Requirements:

1. Industry background:

· Essential. Experience of delivery of a complete vehicle or vehicle integration. Technical English and automotive terminology.

2. Knowledge and skills:

· Strong communication and people skills required; outgoing; attention to detail; ability to integrate disparate information

3. Education / Training:

· Engineering Degree is preferable but not essential

4. Competencies:

· MS Project proficient; capable of learning new software packages quickly. Intelligent and bright. Well organised. Results oriented

6. Prefered Language skills:

· English essential. German preferred. Chinese a benefit.

7.Working location:

· UK and Germany
