    Job description

    About the Company

At Future Secure AI, we're building something genuinely new — and we're looking for people bold enough to build it with us. We work at the frontier of AI, tackling big, real-world problems for global enterprises across multiple industries, armed with state-of-the-art technology and a culture that prizes courage, rigor, and relentless curiosity. Our BRAVER values aren't just words on a wall — they describe the kind of people we are and the standard we hold ourselves to every day. Our leadership team is entrepreneurial, experienced, and accessible, with an open-door policy that means you'll never be just a number here. We invest seriously in your growth because we know our success depends on yours. If you're ready to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, push into uncharted territory, and do work that genuinely matters, Future Secure AI is the place for you.

    The Opportunity

We're hiring Senior Software Engineers in Test to build and own the test engineering systems behind our AI products. This is a software engineering role first: you'll be writing production-grade code, designing test architecture and frameworks from scratch, and treating test infrastructure as a real engineering system, not a role that occasionally scripts against tools someone else built.
The ideal candidate is expected to code daily, participate in code-reviews, thinks like a developer about testability and design, and uses AI tools (including Claude) as a natural part of how they build software and tooling.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and own the test automation frameworks, tooling, and CI/CD test infrastructure used across engineering teams.
    • Define testing standards and patterns (unit, integration, functional, performance, security) that development teams apply and maintain themselves, rather than reviewing test-by-test.
    • Coach and upskill engineers on testing practices, framework adoption, and quality standards, raising the org's baseline rather than personally covering gaps.
    • Continuously improve the testing practice itself: measure tool and practice adoption, identify where teams are struggling, and close gaps in the platform or the coaching.
    • Use Claude and other AI tools to accelerate framework development, tooling, and the creation of coaching/enablement materials.
    • Partner with development and DevOps teams to keep test infrastructure integrated cleanly into the CI/CD pipeline as it evolves.
    • Analyse quality and testing-practice data across teams to identify systemic issues and prioritise the highest-leverage tooling or practice investments.
    • Participate in code and design reviews to influence testability and quality standards at the source, not just downstream

    Requirements

To thrive in this role you must be a great communicator with the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. You enjoy problem-solving and are results-orientated. You will need to demonstrate the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test, SDET, or Software Engineer with a strong test/automation focus — not a QA Analyst or manual tester who has picked up automation tools.
    • Strong general software engineering ability: you can read, write, and reason about production-quality code, not only test scripts.
    • Proven track record designing and building test automation frameworks and infrastructure from scratch (e.g., using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright, or similar).
    • Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript, applied to real software engineering problems.
    • Deep understanding of unit testing principles, with hands-on experience writing, maintaining, and reviewing unit tests as an embedded part of a dev team.
    • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines as code (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), including environment and infrastructure concerns.
    • Solid grounding in Agile/Scrum ways of working.
    • Comfortable being evaluated in a live coding and system design interview, not just a tools-and-process discussion.
    • Demonstrated Claude fluency — you use AI tools as a natural, productive part of your daily engineering workflow. This will be verified through practical assessment at interview.

    Why Join Us?

    • A high-performance culture
    • State-of-the-art technology
    • Experience world-class leadership
    • Scale of impact and purpose
    • A competitive salary and a huge growth trajectory
    • Work with the best in the industry
    • Flexible work environment
    • Diversity and creativity
