Oko West - Mine Dispatcher

Job Description

G Mining Ventures is seeking a Mine Dispatcher to join the Mine Operations team at the Oko West Project in Guyana. Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, the successful candidate will coordinate and optimize mining fleet activities in real time using the MS4M Fleet Management and Dispatch System, supporting safe and efficient achievement of production targets.

• Monitor and coordinate the mining fleet in real time using MS4M, optimizing truck-to-loader assignments, equipment utilization, and material destinations.
• Execute shift production plans and ensure ore, waste and subgrade are routed to the correct destinations.
• Monitor production KPIs, equipment status, delays, cycle times, payloads, queues, and loading performance.
• Respond to operational disruptions and coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Geology, Processing, HSE, and other support teams.
• Maintain accurate MS4M data, delay records, shift handovers, and production information.
• Support safe mine operations by monitoring traffic, operating areas, restrictions, and emergency or blast-related activities.

Requirements

Minimum education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or degree in Mining, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related field is an asset.

Relevant experience:

• 2–5 years of mining operations experience, preferably in open-pit mining.
• Previous mine dispatch and fleet management system experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of open-pit mining operations, fleet management, haulage cycles, and production KPIs.
• Strong computer and analytical skills; MS4M or similar fleet management system experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work day and night shifts in a remote mining environment.

Salary Range: Negotiable.

Employment Type: Temporary contract for the duration of the construction.

Working Hours & Conditions: Rotation schedule: 23 of work followed by 19 days off. The position is primarily based in the Control Room and requires day and night shift coverage in a remote mining environment. The Dispatcher must be able to work effectively during periods of heavy rainfall, reduced visibility, emergency situations, and significant operational pressure.
