Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our employees and operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners with employees and leaders on employee relations, performance management, compliance, retention, recruitment, and other HR functions. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and problem solver who can build strong relationships while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary resource for employee relations, including counseling, investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Partner with business leaders on performance management, corrective action, promotions/transfers, terminations, pay changes, and employee retention.
- Conduct regular meetings with operational leaders to proactively identify and address workforce needs.
- Manage attendance, progressive discipline, and the company’s 30-60-90-day review program.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, surveys, and management coaching initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws, company policies, government reporting requirements, safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Identify workplace trends, operational challenges, and employee concerns and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with payroll, compensation, benefits, recruitment, training, employment-status changes, time-off administration, and documentation as needed.
- Assist with agency claims, legal investigations, and related documentation.
- Provide flexible HR support for a 24/7 operation, including employee relations matters and town hall meetings.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned.
