What We’re Looking For:
A collaborative, proactive leader who communicates clearly, supports staff, and improves daily work processes.
Three to five years of experience across all phases of billing, plus four years of experience in a Business Office environment.
Working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain applicable HIPAA requirements and safety practices, including protection of patient, medical record, demographic, financial, billing, complaint, and location information.

What You Will Do:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of an assigned Business Office area, lead staff performance, and support financial, operational, and strategic objectives. This role may contribute to area budget development and is responsible for employee performance reviews, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Duties are performed for the age population served, as defined in the department’s scope of service.
Participate in the development of departmental goals and objectives, ensuring daily priorities, measures, and service expectations align with management direction.
Supervise assigned staff and departmental processes, provide daily operational leadership, respond to workload fluctuations, and recommend changes as needed.
Coordinate daily work-area activities, productivity, policy and procedure compliance, departmental communication, and working relationships with administration and other departments.
Monitor daily departmental performance, communicate policy interpretations, maintain required records and reports, and analyze operational data to support adequate and economical service.
Monitor accounts pending billing, including claims pending more than 10 days, outstanding departmental requests, pre-bill reports, and bill-hold reports, to support billing within defined timelines.
Provide accurate statistical information to departmental management as requested and perform other duties as assigned.
