    This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys a diverse role that combines employee support, payroll and workforce administration, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and operational problem solving. You'll partner closely with leaders and employees across the organization while serving as a trusted resource throughout the employee lifecycle.
    What You'll Bring to the Team

    The HR Operations Specialist serves as a critical member of the Human Resources team, supporting day-to-day HR functions and ensuring operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, administering benefits, supporting payroll processes, coordinating onboarding, ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting with recruitment efforts, and delivering exceptional customer service to employees throughout the organization.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong HR administration experience, exceptional organizational skills, payroll and HRIS knowledge, and experience utilizing Kronos Workforce Management systems.

    What You'll Do

    • Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, delivering exceptional customer service, fostering open communication, and helping resolve workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Support employees throughout the employment lifecycle by providing guidance on HR programs, policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters.
    • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a welcoming, engaging, and compliant onboarding experience.
    • Manage pre-employment processes, including background screenings, employment verification, and onboarding requirements.
    • Ensure completion and compliance of I-9 documentation and employment eligibility verification requirements.
    • Process employee transactions, including new hires, transfers, status changes, promotions, and separations while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
    • Maintain employee personnel files, HR records, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, healthcare, and organizational requirements.
    • Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and culture-building initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace environment.
    • Assist leaders with performance management processes, employee relations matters, and workforce support activities.
    • Support payroll preparation, audit processes, and payroll-related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Monitor employee attendance, leave balances, and timekeeping activity while identifying and resolving
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources, HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits Administration, or related experience.
    • Experience with Kronos/UKG Workforce Management systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
    • Strong understanding of HR processes, employee records management, and employment compliance requirements.
    • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

    Preferred

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
    • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent.
    • Experience working in a healthcare, FQHC, or multi-site environment.
    • Experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems. (Kronos or UKG Ready)
