We’re building a new Learning Media Unit at Genio: a small team responsible for turning what we’re learning about education, technology and learning differences into ideas and media that can reach far beyond our products. The Studio will create work for learners, educators and the wider industry across written, video, social and other formats. Some of that work will help large audiences directly; some will build Genio’s voice and authority around the ideas we believe matter.
As Editorial Lead, you will be the editorial backbone of the Studio and the CEO’s primary editorial partner on thought leadership. You’ll take ideas that often begin messy or half-formed and help turn them into clear, compelling work: from Substack essays and keynote narratives to video scripts, presentations and other formats.
This is first and foremost a writing and editorial role. You’ll need exceptional judgement about ideas, arguments, structure and language, while also thinking beyond the page: understanding how the same idea changes when it’s spoken, filmed, visualised or adapted for another medium. In our deliberately AI-assisted environment, you will also design and own the workflows that extend our output capacity and keep the production pipeline moving.

You will be working most closely with our CEO, the Learner and Community Lead, and our Content and Community Executive to bring the Studio's vision to life. This is a team that pushes each other hard and enjoys it, if that sounds energising rather than exhausting, you'll fit right in.
This role reports directly into the CEO.

Our beautiful office space in Leeds is our key hub for collaboration, and we love to get together in person. We operate a flexible hybrid working model, including supporting our Genios who are based remotely across the UK. This role is based out of our Leeds office, requiring you to be in the office twice a week.
