THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced individual for the role of Regional Financial Controller - UK. This is a challenging and demanding leadership role with responsibility for timely and accurate monthly reporting, and filing of statutory accounts for UK companies within the Genius Sports Group.

• Reports directly to the Head of Management Reporting
• Leadership and development of UK financial accounting team
• Production of statutory reporting (for UK based subsidiaries)
• Responsible for cost reporting and relevant analysis on monthly basis
• Working with FP&A team understanding variances to budget and forecasts
• Review of Monthly P&Ls, Balance sheets and supporting information
• Review and certification of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Improvements in Finance Processes and automation where possible
• Working with Internal Audit to ensure SOX compliance
• Supporting External Reporting team in US GAAP reporting
• Ensuring accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy
• Working closely with External auditors with view to simplifying annual audits
• Responsible for UK VAT reconciliation and preparation of VAT returns
• Development of team Workday Financials skills / reduction in reliance on Excel
• Short term cashflow forecasting
• Other Ad hoc work as initiated or required

• Professional accounting qualification is essential
