Production Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

PURPOSE: This position is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of production equipment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic knowledge of mechanical and or electrical skills preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS · Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. · Ability to write correspondence. · Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to others within the work group.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY · Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILL AND ABILITIES · Diligent, punctual and disciplined. Able to manage own time to meet objectives. · Flexible and willing to adapt work pace and methods to handle changes, prioritization and meet deadlines · Autonomy – is able to work alone and assume responsibility after and appropriate training period.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Routine inspections of Mechanical equipment. · Repair of air cylinders, hydraulic pumps, water jet vacuum systems, punch presses and pneumatic equipment after appropriate training period. · Changing molds for production, hookup. · Repair of vacuum systems, punch presses pneumatic equipment · Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required. · Provide assistance as needed to others within the group.
