POSITION OVERVIEW
The Systems Engineer I supports systems design, test, and analysis in support of product development and manufacturing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support systems design in a cross-functional engineering team to develop and launch new products.
- Contribute to system architectures including interface definition and description.
- Conduct system tests using procedures and methods for system verification and validation.
- Learn analysis and simulation tools to aid in system design and test.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews.
- Follow Gentex system engineering processes and ensure products meet Gentex quality standards.
- Stay current with technology, manufacturing, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement of products, process, and methods.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Problem solving - Defining a problem, determining the cause, identifying, prioritizing and selecting alternatives for a solution, and implementing a solution.
- Situational adaptability -Ability to work with evolving systems, processes and structures, demonstrating the flexibility to adapt to changing environments, requirements and regulations.
- Communicating Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.
- Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
- Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
WHAT TO BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
WHAT WILL HELP
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional work experience in new product development.
