    TITLE: Part Time - Client Services Representative (2 positions)

    DIVISION: Faculty of Health Sciences

    SALARY: $24.90 per hour

    SCHEDULE: Wednesday to Friday (varied)

    HOURS PER WEEK: 24

    LOCATION: 51 Dockside Drive

    WORK MODALITY: On-site

    STATUS: Regular Part Time Support

    VACANCY: Replacement

    EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately

    CLOSING DATE: October 2, 2026

    Key Responsibilities

    • Checks in-out all continuing care clients requested charts.
    • Provides efficient and effective front-line services to clients and students; answers phone calls.
    • Provides support to students in regards to the client scheduling system; explains processes, guides students on rotation; monitors assignment of clients to students; manages students’ voicemails.
    • Enters new client information into the dental management software; scans documentation into the dental management software.
    • Faxes medical consultations and referrals to physicians’ offices.
    • Processes payments for services; balances daily deposits.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Educational and Experience Requirements

    • One year certificate or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Dental Hygiene, Dental Assistant, Dental Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, Health Information Management or any other related.
    • Minimum two years of customer service-related experience; with experience working in a high-volume environment or student services department.
    • Knowledge of dental practice management software is an asset.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).

    • Solid client service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
    • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the polytechnic’s priorities on equity, diversity, inclusion and Indigenization (EDII).

    Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.

    • The Polytechnic requires proof of degrees, credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their international equivalents. Credentials may require validation at the time of interviews or offer.
    • Priority will be given to internal candidates per our Part-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement.
