Managed Services Operations Analyst at GFI Digital

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Analyst is responsible for is responsible for performing all operational processes and procedures, ensuring that all IT services and infrastructure meet operational targets. The Operations Analyst runs and monitors infrastructure components for all applications, backups, systems, and hardware.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for working through Technology Services’ ticketing system to monitor, manage, and support all Technology Services customer environments to include servers, backups, networking equipment, and storage.

• Performing problem determination, impact assessment, and general issue support
• Ensuring that all production site and service outages are addressed expediently in accordance with corporate policies, including initial remediation, task prioritization, and relevant communication to responders, stakeholders, and management.
• Regularly updating a knowledge base and documentation repository.
• Assess the storage and backup solutions in use by our current customers.
• Assisting with the monitoring all implementations for unexpected errors.
• Ensuring that customer backups are successful
• Ensuring that customer’s servers are patch according to GFI compliance and Microsoft compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge: This position requires 1-3 years of technical support and operations experience. Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience required. Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco.
2. Skills: must be dependable, adaptable, as well as customer service focused. Must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed.
3. Abilities: Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Collaboration with peers to problem solve and find the best solution.
