Join our team of globally connected specialists to help solve complex transport challenges and experience groundbreaking projects from idea to delivery, and beyond

We’re seeking a driven and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team onsite in Nadi, Fiji, playing a key role in leading and delivering airport and aviation‑focused civil infrastructure projects across Fiji and the wider Pacific region.

This role offers an ideal blend of technical leadership, mentoring, and client engagement within a globally connected, well‑established consultancy recognised for its quality outcomes and collaborative culture.

    The Role

You will take a role in the delivery of complex civil and aviation infrastructure projects, with responsibilities including:

    • Lead the planning, design, and construction oversight of complex civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on airport and aviation-related assets (airside and landside).
    • Manage project execution to ensure quality, programme, safety, and budget objectives are achieved.
    • Undertake engineering inspections, interpret drawings and specifications, and recommend remedial works, particularly within operational airport environments.
    • Coordinate contract administration and project management activities for aviation projects, including subcontractor liaison and stakeholder engagement.
    • Work closely with airport authorities, regulators, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused outcomes.
    • Mentor and support project teams, fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
    • Collect, analyse, and interpret technical and project data to support sound engineering and commercial decision-making.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering standards, aviation requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to airport and infrastructure projects.

    About You

    • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or a related discipline).
    • 10 to 15 years’ professional engineering experience, ideally working toward or holding CPEng (or equivalent) certification.
    • Demonstrated design and delivery experience across a broad range of civil infrastructure projects, with experience in airport, aviation, or transport infrastructure highly regarded.
    • A self-starting, proactive approach with a strong desire to shape and grow your career in the Pacific region.
    • Experience acting as Engineer’s Representative or similar contract administration role, particularly under NZS 3910 or FIDIC style contracts
    • Excellent client relationship skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and identify opportunities to add value.
    • A proven project delivery mindset, thriving in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence using engineering tools and design software.
    • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, able to work effectively across technical and cultural contexts.
    • A genuine interest in mentoring others and contributing to a diverse, inclusive team culture.
