About This Role…
The Production Assistant plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by assisting machine operators in the production, packaging, labeling, and inspection of finished goods. This position helps ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. By supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities, the Production Assistant contributes directly to customer satisfaction and Gibraltar's operational success. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist machine operators by catching and organizing products as they are produced.
- Assemble cardboard boxes and packaging materials to support production requirements.
- Package finished products using appropriate taping, gluing, banding, and labeling methods.
- Verify product quantities, labels, and packaging specifications before shipment.
- Stack and organize finished goods onto pallets according to established standards.
- Monitor products for defects and escalate quality concerns as needed.
- Support 5S and housekeeping initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Promote a strong safety culture by following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
- Maintain reliable attendance and support overtime requirements when necessary.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Maintain dependable attendance and flexibility to support business needs.
What You'll Bring
Must-Haves
- Less than a high school education, high school diploma/GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three months of manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related work experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate basic English.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, count, and work with simple measurements.
- Ability to follow safety rules, operating instructions, and standard work procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial manufacturing environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience working with packaging, labeling, palletizing, or shipping processes.
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles.
- Forklift or material handling experience.
Location, Travel and Compensation
- On-site role located in Myrtle Beach, SC.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Overtime may be required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- The estimated salary range for this role is $16-20/hr.
