Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We're looking for a detail-oriented, commercially driven Estimation & Invoicing Engineer to manage project costing, proposals, variations, and invoicing, and support the commercial success of projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive and evaluate enquiries, coordinate with clients to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
· Distribute scope of work to internal teams and collect resource requirements based on BOQ and engineering inputs.
· Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and prepare cost estimates.
· Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals for internal approval and client submission.
· Review contracts and purchase orders upon award to ensure alignment with submitted proposals.
· Initiate project documentation including job cards and coordinate with project and planning teams.
· Prepare and manage variation orders and additional work proposals in coordination with clients.
· Monitor project progress and track commercial status.
· Collect job completion records, verify work completion reports (WCR), and prepare proforma invoices.
· Follow up with clients for invoice approvals, final settlements, and revised purchase orders.
· Prepare and submit final tax invoices in line with company procedures.
· Conduct project performance evaluations and maintain proper documentation.
· Provide inputs to maintain commercial registers (quotation, job, and invoice registers).
· Ensure all commercial activities comply with company procedures and contractual requirements.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Estimation or Management.
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: Degree or Diploma in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
· Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in estimation, invoicing, or commercial roles within marine, shipyard, oil & gas, or EPC projects.
· Strong knowledge of cost estimation, BOQs, contracts, and invoicing processes.
· Experience in handling variation orders and client coordination.
· Good understanding of project lifecycle and commercial controls.
· Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
· Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.
· Attention to detail with strong commercial awareness.
· Fluency in English (mandatory).
