At GoodGuide, our general philosophy is that all of our engineers should be comfortable working with the entire software stack, at least enough that they understand how the entire system works and can make the tweaks they need to get their particular job done. Within that context, Product Design Engineers have a specific focus on designing and implementing the user interface for new features or entire applications.
Current projects include designing surveys and reporting interfaces for manufacturers and retailers to share and analyze data. Working on these early-stage projects will involve collaborating closely with a product manager and customers to build working prototypes, gather feedback, and iterate quickly to create a production-ready application. Additionally, we continue to iterate and improve upon our existing consumer-facing applications and to work with retailers to help design new experiences for their customers.
