    About the Role:

    The Lead Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the overall success and operational excellence of the retail store. This position is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing daily store activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, and achieving sales targets. The Lead Assistant Store Manager oversees staff performance, provides coaching and development opportunities, and fosters a positive and productive work environment. They are instrumental in inventory management, visual merchandising, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards. Ultimately, this role ensures the store operates efficiently while delivering an outstanding shopping experience that aligns with the brand’s values and goals.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
    • Strong understanding of retail operations including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
    • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in multi-unit retail management or large store operations.
    • Formal training or certification in retail management or leadership development.
    • Familiarity with retail analytics and reporting tools.
    • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.
    • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills relevant to the store’s customer base.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Store Manager in planning, organizing, and directing store operations to meet sales and profitability goals.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop store team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve individual and team performance targets.
    • Manage daily store activities including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention standards.
    • Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans.
    • Coordinate visual merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive and engaging store environment.
    • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Support recruitment, training, and scheduling of store staff to optimize workforce efficiency.

    Skills:

    The Lead Assistant Store Manager utilizes strong leadership and interpersonal skills daily to inspire and guide the store team toward achieving sales and service goals. Effective communication skills are essential for coaching employees, resolving customer issues, and collaborating with management. Analytical skills are applied to interpret sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions that enhance store performance. Organizational skills are critical for managing schedules, inventory, and store operations efficiently. Additionally, proficiency with retail technology and POS systems supports smooth transaction processing and accurate reporting.
