    About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

The EMEA Global Business Organization (GBO) Product Finance team are subject matter experts in Google’s Ads Products and horizontals including Verticals and Agency. We shape regional strategy and empower leaders across EMEA to navigate the fast-evolving landscape to maximize value for customers, partners, and Google.
In this role, you will deploy strong problem-solving, technical, and investigative skills to deliver impactful recommendations that drive decisions. You will possess deep knowledge of Search Ads and its value propositions, combined with a passion for innovation. By acting as a pioneer for the use of AI in Finance—integrating technology into your workflow to automate processes, streamline reporting, and augment analyses—you will move beyond standard process work to unlock value, creating the capacity for the original thinking and deep analysis that our team relies on. You will be adept at building strong cross-functional relationships to address ad hoc queries, evolve Search strategy, and guide key stakeholders.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as an advisor to Finance, GTM, and Sales leadership, delivering compelling narratives to resolve complex operational questions.
    • Act as an SME in Search Ads, influencing regional business strategy through a deep understanding of performance marketing drivers, product trends, risks, and business generation opportunities.
    • Distill complex business performance trends and financial metrics—separating signals from noise—into highly actionable insights that actively grow the business and mitigate risk. Leverage AI and emerging technology to transform financial analyses and operations, proactively enhancing the depth of your insights to drive business impact.
    • Manage a portfolio of projects, applying statistical methods to model, decompose, and forecast search engine and auction performance.
    • Act as the connective tissue between global and regional teams to ensure local market landing, while leading projects involving cross-regional business data scientists.
