The Opportunity:

The Courts and Community Justice Division is seeking a skilled and confident Court Administrative Assistant to work at the Regina Provincial Court. As a member of a team of professionals you will be in daily contact with the public, lawyers, police agencies, community agencies and offenders to provide information in response to inquiries. The environment in which you will work is potentially hostile, therefore, you must be able to recognize volatile situations and react appropriately.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- A post-secondary office education diploma or court services administrator certification, supplemented with legal courses and relevant work experience or a combination of education and work experience.
- Legal terminology, the administration of legal documents and an understanding of the various levels of court, court processes and procedures.
- Basic financial principles including cash handling, daily invoicing/purchasing, performing bank deposits, etc.
- General office administration including providing service to clients and stakeholders, responding to a high volume of phone, email and in-person inquiries, handling mail, payment processing, filing systems, etc.
- Computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database software.
- Effective communication and positive interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be thorough, analytical, accurate and detail oriented.
