The Opportunity:
The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to provide analysis, advice and leadership on a range of policy issues related to the activities of the Health Profession Regulation Unit within the Partnerships, Privacy and Legislative Services Branch. The Unit is responsible for overseeing the regulation of health professions through provincial legislation and bylaws. You will provide analysis and advice on self-governance trends and issues. You will be responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with regulators and other health system partners. You will play a significant role in the development and implementation of legislation and regulations to support key Ministry priorities. In addition, the position will support work that is underway to align legislation across the regulated health professions. This includes consulting with and providing advice to senior Ministry officials on a range of regulatory issues and representing the Ministry in discussions with health system stakeholders.
Typically, knowledge for this position would be obtained through a graduate degree in a social science, health administration or a related discipline as well as experience in professional governance, legislation and policy analysis. Relevant experience in other sectors will be considered.
