    The Opportunity:

    Are you a strategic, results-oriented, and innovative individual looking for a meaningful career? Join us at the SPSA as a Senior Policy Consultant in the Corporate Planning Branch.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Director, Policy and Legislation, in this position you will:

    • Identify legislative and regulatory amendments required to support the SPSA mandate and lead development through government review and approval processes.
    • Lead initiatives to evaluate policy impacts, identify issues, and develop strategies that improve client outcomes and system capacity.
    • Analyze economic, financial, and business cases to inform decision-making and policy development.
    • Conduct data-based research and statistical analysis to support program and policy recommendations.
    • Lead multi-stakeholder projects and collaborate across teams to implement strategic and operational plans.
    • Communicate complex legislative, policy, and program information to varied audiences.
    • Initiate and manage strategies to improve and streamline program delivery.
    • Assess complex and conflicting data to develop reports, procedures, regulations, and contracts.
    • Liaison with stakeholders and partners to align policies, programs, and legislation with community needs and ensures compliance with agreements.

    • Extensive experience in policy development, implementation, and evaluation.

    • Understands government decision-making processes.

    • Possesses strong analytical and research skills to identify issues, opportunities, and develop policy options.

    • Has knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and procedures.

    • Ability to analyze programs, policy, legislation, regulations and identify impacts, risks, opportunities and develop recommendations.

    • Experience developing and amending legislation and regulations would be an asset.

    • Has experience in project management
