    The Opportunity:

    The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is a dynamic organization committed to delivering efficient, high-quality services to the public. As a Stores and Logistics Supervisor within the Saskatchewan Air Ambulance (SAA) branch, you will play a crucial role in providing the people of Saskatchewan access to a higher level of health care.

    Saskatchewan Air Ambulance is the oldest non-military air ambulance service in North America and currently transports more than 1,500 Saskatchewan residents per year to a higher level of care. Air Ambulance provides 24/7 emergency medical air evacuation services to provincial destinations in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's) and Government of Saskatchewan policies. Our dedicated team is committed to ensuring that the people of Saskatchewan have safe and timely access to the health services they need.

    Saskatchewan Air Ambulance is seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and organized individual to join our maintenance team and lead the day-to-day operation of aviation stores, inventory control, logistics, and material management functions. Our candidate of choice will be a confident self-starter who demonstrates reliability, flexibility, professionalism and who is courteous, attentive to detail, and capable of meeting new challenges while supporting a team environment and maintaining a positive attitude.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate daily stores and logistics activities to support maintenance and operational requirements.
    • Foster a safe, accountable, and customer-focused work environment.
    • Ensure accurate inventory control, material handling and stock activities.
    • Responsible for receiving, warehousing and shipping of aircraft parts, components, tools, and consumables.
    • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and maintenance teams to ensure material availability.
    • Process Purchase Order's and Invoicing.
    • Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements, company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
    • Maintain inventory management and carry out inventory audits.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, inventory levels, and cost effectiveness.
    • Provide parts for a 24/7 emergency service environment.
    • Ensure positive customer and vendor relations.

    Technical Knowledge and Skills:  

    • Knowledge of aviation material control requirements and regulatory environments is an asset.
    • Knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and material control processes.
    • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
    • Experience essential to support 24 hour/7 day emergency service activities.
    • Knowledge and experience related to Aviation operations is an asset. (ex. Safety Management Systems (SMS) for aviation)
    • Experience with GEM, or WinAir aviation inventory management systems considered an asset.
    • Ability to work independently to complete and prioritize tasks while contributing to a high-paced team environment.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to lift/move objects weighing 50lbs (or more).
    • Possess/ability to obtain, Forklift and Transport of Dangerous goods certification.
