The Opportunity:
We are looking for dynamic individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives & wellbeing of children and families to join our team as a Caregiver Support Supervisor. In this role, you will supervise, manage, and implement programs designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children, parents and foster families utilizing the Family Centered Case Management Model and P.R.I.D.E. Model of Practice.
Responsibilities
- Supervision, training, support, and coaching their staff and clients.
- Provide leadership on implementation of policies, procedures, services, and community resources.
- Assist in managing change within the organization.
- Determine the eligibility for social assistance, the benefit level, and other services to clients.
- Collaborate with communities to develop plans for personal growth and enhance independence for clients.
- Ensure effective communication and service delivery within work units and with partner agencies in the community.
- Effectively manage and monitor allocated work unit budgets and approve expenditures.
- Liaise, consult, and respond to inquiries from a variety of outside stakeholders.
- Represent the unit, ministry or region on various agency, community, or internal committees.
- Ensure that standards and quality of service are met.

Applicable legislation, regulations, programs and policies such as: The Child and Family Services Act, The Adoption Act and Regulations, Family Systems Theory and Family Centered Case Management Procedures; Family/Children's Service Manuals and the PRIDE Model of Practice
Relevant government and community services and resources
To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university, as approved by the SASW/CASW or CASWE. The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the Out of Home Care/Community Services program- within Child and Family programs AND supervising professional staff.
