📢 We’re Hiring | Junior Material Compliance Specialist
Are you a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and an interest in material science, chemical compliance, and sustainability?
Join GPV Lanka (Private) Ltd. as a Junior Material Compliance Specialist and be part of a team supporting material and chemical compliance activities for a global manufacturing organization.
• Conduct material and chemical compliance activities and respond to customer requests within required timelines
• Process and analyze data related to regulations including EUDR, Digital Product Passport (DPP), Melt & Pour, PFAS documentation, and CBAM
• Maintain effective supplier data communication and gather additional information for customer inquiries
• Develop and update the internal chemical compliance portal
• Provide initial confirmation dates to Account Managers / Program Managers for new material compliance and sustainability projects
• Gather and analyze material compliance data using Silicon Expert, websites, emails, and databases
• Update working templates and summary sheets after finalizing chemical compliance statements
• Coordinate with Product Engineering and Purchasing teams when material compliance clarification is required
• Maintain proper records and archives of material chemical compliance statements
• Perform daily updates to working templates and timing sheets
• Prepare monthly timing summaries
• Participate in training and conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions
• Maintain department archive folders
• Update existing SOPs and prepare/update Work Instructions.

G.C.E. (A/L) qualification – preferably in the Science stream
Proficiency in MS Office applications and database handling
Strong communication skills in English
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand data and make decisions
Experience with SPC tools
Knowledge of hydraulic / mechanical components
Understanding of chemical compliance and chemical compositions
Certificate course in Material Science, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of IMDS / CDX platforms.
