Grammer is looking for a Launch Material Planner to join our location in Tupelo, MS. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team!

• Maintain direct contact with the customer to meet the requirements and specifications of the logistics, organize the information and expose those involved.
• Check the customer’s demand against the capacity of the line to determine possible risks in compliance with the delivery plan.
• Manage supply of materials and supplies
• Work together with the planners, traffic and import logistics, finance, to quote the logistics chain of a new product.
• Follow the imports of raw material, from the supplier to the plant.
• Quote and negotiate better rates with national and international transportation providers.

• Experience in automotive industry.
• Knowledge of imports, exports, customs law, NAFTA, and transportation market.
• Knowledge of SAP system.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers of goods and services.
• Leadership and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships.
• Computer skills and experience utilizing excel.
• Excellent communication skills
• Degree preferred, ideally in Supply Chain or related field.
• 2-4 years of previous experience as planner
• Experience working with automotive customers
• Experience with launching new product lines
