Position Summary
The Clinical Coordinator for Crisis provides program-level clinical leadership for assigned crisis programs and/or service locations. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, recovery-oriented crisis services through clinical consultation, staff development, quality improvement, and clinical oversight.
The Coordinator serves as the primary clinical supervisor and resource for crisis teams, providing guidance on complex clinical presentations, supporting clinical decision- making, and promoting adherence to organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in crisis care.
This position works collaboratively with operational, medical, nursing, and care navigation leadership to ensure the integration of safe, effective, and person-centered services across the crisis continuum.
This position will be assigned to a GRAND Crisis Services region based location.
Reporting Structure
• Reports directly to the Clinical Services Director, Crisis Services
Responsibilities
• Provide program-level clinical leadership for assigned crisis programs and service
locations.
• Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for crisis assessment, intervention,
stabilization, and disposition planning.
• Provide real-time clinical consultation and support for clinicians managing high-acuity or complex situations.
• Assist staff with clinical decision-making related to risk assessment, safety planning, level of care determinations, and crisis dispositions.
• Promote consistent implementation of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and
recovery-oriented crisis care practices.
• Provide ongoing clinical consultation and supervision for crisis clinical teams.
• Coach clinicians in clinical reasoning, documentation, crisis intervention
techniques, and therapeutic engagement.
• Facilitate case consultations, interdisciplinary staffing meetings, and clinical debriefings.
• Support professional growth through mentoring and clinical coaching.
• Conduct routine chart audits to evaluate clinical quality, documentation standards,
regulatory compliance, and fidelity to agency policies and clinical pathways.
• Identify trends, develop improvement strategies, and monitor corrective actions.
• Assist with the development and revision of clinical policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Develop, implement, and maintain therapeutic programming curricula for crisis
services.• Design and deliver coaching-level training and ongoing competency development for clinical staff.
• Provide education on crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, trauma-informed
care, substance use disorders, motivational interviewing, de-escalation, and other
behavioral health best practices.
• Support onboarding and ongoing clinical competency validation.
• Partner with Operations Management, Medical Leadership, Nursing Leadership,
Care Navigation, and other interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality client care.
• Participate in leadership meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and program
development efforts.
• Support implementation of new clinical initiatives, workflows, and evidence-based
practices.
• Participate in the clinical leadership on-call rotation to provide after-hours
consultation and support.
• Respond to urgent clinical situations requiring leadership involvement.
• Assist with critical incidents, sentinel events, and other complex clinical situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Requirements
• Current unrestricted Oklahoma licensure as a Licensed Behavioral Health
Professional (LBHP), including LCSW, LPC, LADC-MH, LMFT, or another independently licensed behavioral health professional.
• Minimum of three (3) years of direct clinical experience providing behavioral health services.
• One (1) year of leadership, supervisory, or clinical mentoring experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, behavioral health assessment,
suicide risk assessment, trauma-informed care, and crisis stabilization.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to effectively navigate high-risk and rapidly
evolving crisis situations.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
Additional Duties
• Participation in an after-hours clinical leadership on-call rotation is required.
• Travel between crisis service locations may be required.
• Ability to respond effectively to high-stress, emergency, and rapidly changing
clinical environments while maintaining sound clinical judgment and professionalism.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Maintain 95% or greater compliance on clinical chart audits.
• Complete all required clinical audits, case reviews, and corrective action plans
within established timelines.• Ensure 100% completion of required clinical training, competency validation, and
supervision activities.
• Develop, maintain, and update crisis clinical training and therapeutic programming.
• Improve clinical quality through ongoing coaching, consultation, and quality
improvement initiatives.
• Promote fidelity to crisis clinical pathways, documentation standards, and
regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the clinical leadership on-call rotation and provide timely
consultation for high-risk clinical situations.
• Foster effective collaboration with Operations, Medical, Nursing, Care Navigation,
and Executive Leadership to support quality client care
