    Job description

A career with Gravity Payments is an opportunity to be on a collaborative team where creative leadership, passion for progress, and responsibility are paramount. Our team members focus and commit to providing for our clients and our community because we care deeply for others.

Success in this role looks like:

    • New Business: Generate 4 to 6 new business opportunities per month upon full ramp.
    • Daily Activity: Maintain a disciplined field presence with 30+ business stops and 5 proactive account health check-ins daily.
    • Retention: Minimizing portfolio churn by proactively executing 5 daily "Know Your Customer" (KYC) check-ins to triage technical or operational issues before they escalate.

    Core Responsibilities

    Sales:

    • Identify, prospect, and set appointments, and run the Gravity sales process with new prospects through fast-paced B2B prospecting primarily in the field and occasionally on the phone (targeting both English-speaking and Korean-speaking business sectors).
    • Facilitate an education-based, transparent decision-making process with potential clients.
    • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
    • Increase the number of active merchants and strengthen our overall ability to serve local businesses.

    Account Management:

    • Manage a portfolio of merchant accounts by prioritizing and building deep relationship trust.
    • Through proactive outreach, positively impact retention, generate community referrals, and create opportunities for additional revenue.
    • Effectively triage with other internal departments when clients experience terminal difficulties or operational issues.
    • Perform rate reviews, financial evaluations, and contract renewals.
    • Reach out to inactive merchant accounts to restore partnerships.
    • Participate in weekly strategy meetings, hurdles reviews, and mock role-plays to develop the team's skill sets.
    • Facilitate account maintenance in person, virtually, or over the phone as needed.
    • Install payment processing equipment and assist with specialized language configurations or training (1-2 hours per setup).
    • Visit partnered local bank branches weekly to capture community referrals.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in outside sales, customer support, account management, or a customer-facing role.

This job description is a snapshot of the role at this moment in time. As our organization evolves, so do our roles. Responsibilities may shift to meet changing business needs. We seek individuals who are adaptable, proactive, and open to growth as we continue to move forward together.

    Additional Requirements

    • Bilingual Requirement: Must have full professional fluency in both English AND Korean to seamlessly support our diverse client portfolios and internal teams.
    • Must have access to a wired internet connection with access to at least a 25 megabits per second (mbps) download and 20 mbps upload speed connection.
Must be located in and able to work on Oahu
Must have your own vehicle, be licensed and insured and have the ability to travel independently to multiple customer locations throughout each workday.
Ability to enter and exit customer business locations throughout the day.
Ability to carry sales materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.

    Benefits

    • Compensation: Competitive wage with Profit Sharing.
    • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
    • Financial Security: 401(k) retirement plan and voluntary life insurance.
    • Wellbeing: Time off when you need it, supporting both personal and professional sustainability. Open PTO available after one year.
    • Career Growth: Training, mentorship, and development opportunities.
    • Support & Stability: Short-term & long-term disability coverage and wellness resources.

The salary for this position is $80,000 - $85,000. We may be open to negotiating outside of this range if the desired salary aligns with the needs of the candidate and the company.
