    Floating Before and After School Site Administrator
    Hamilton, Fairfield, Middletown/Franklin Areas
    This position rotates between all sites when/as needed 
    2 year's experience is required.
    FSLA: Full- Time, Non-Exempt
    Pay: $18.00/hour
    **300 Sign On Bonus**
    Sign on Bonus will be awarded after completion of your first 30/60/90 days
    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Under the direction of the Executive Childcare Director, the Site Administrator is responsible for the social, physical, spiritual, and mental development of each child within their care. In accordance with ODJFS and “Step Up to Quality” standards, he or she is also responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all activities, as well as keeping the safety and well-being of children as a first priority.

    Essential Functions:

    • Supervises a group of children in accordance with Great Miami Valley YMCA and State of Ohio standards
    • Thinks, communicates, and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for children, other staff, and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions.
    •  Prepares the site daily for the arrival of children; maintains organization of the site throughout the program time; cleans up the space at the conclusion of the program.
    • Plans, implements, and actively participates in all daily activities and curriculum consistent with the YMCA values.
    • Attend all staff meetings, appropriate childcare workshops, and specialized or safety trainings to maintain the State of Ohio training hours annually.
    • If applicable, complete the duties as required by the Child and Adult Care Food Program
    • Provide assistance to other childcare programs as assigned to maintain ratios.
    • Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and other emergencies.
    • Cultivate positive relationships and maintain effective communication with parents, children, and other staff. Model relationship-building skills in all interactions.
    • Maintain written and digital records as required for individual children; communicate with parents regularly about their children’s goals, progress, and accomplishments.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Associate’s degree in child development, Education or related field.
    • Certifications: Current First Aid, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention and CPR certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
    • Two years related experience as a coordinator or supervisor or childcare programs preferred.
    • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
    • Possess knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages of a child.
    • Have a valid driver’s license and capable of driving to multiple site locations.
    • Have proficient computer skills.
    • Be at least 18 years of age.
    • 2 years experience is required.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) while maintain alertness for long periods of time.
    • Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to interpret, adopt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
    • Must be creative and enthusiastic to staff and program participants.
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with families, children, and other staff.
    • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
    • Ability to maintain emotional control and composure in turbulent, challenging and changing conditions.
    • Must be dependable, detail oriented, maintain high personal morale performing job duties, meeting deadlines and prompt regular attendance.
