    Job description

    About Us

Greenbrook Medical is building the new standard in primary care.

We deliver high-touch, relationship-based care through neighborhood clinics, grounded in a simple belief: every senior deserves the kind of care we would want for our own families. Our model prioritizes time with patients, strong care coordination, and a personalized approach that improves outcomes while lowering total cost of care.

We take full accountability for patient outcomes and overall cost of care, aligning clinical excellence with disciplined execution. That commitment shows up in our results, including a patient Net Promoter Score of 90, compared to 32 for typical healthcare organizations.

Rooted in Tampa Bay and partnered with Tampa General Hospital, we are entering an exciting phase of growth. Backed by strong unit economics, experienced operators, and a proven playbook, we are looking for builders and operators who want to help scale a healthcare platform designed to deliver better care, better coordination, and better outcomes for seniors.

    About the Role

As a Center Manager, you’ll run the day-to-day operations of one of our clinics and lead the team that makes the patient experience exceptional.

You’ll manage and coach a team of 3–8 Medical Assistants, partner closely with physicians, keep the clinic running smoothly, and turn data into action. From staffing and scheduling to patient concerns, compliance, supplies, and performance, you’ll own the details that make a great clinic work.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is organized, resourceful, and energized by people—and who knows that great healthcare starts with a great team.

    Location: Hudson Clinic

This position may require some local travel to assist in covering other centers, team meetings, and training Medical Assistants.

Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm

    What You’ll Do

    Lead the team

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–8 Medical Assistants.
    • Manage staffing, scheduling, delegation, timesheets, and performance.
    • Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Partner closely with physicians and cross-functional teams to keep the clinic running at its best.

    Run the clinic

    • Own day-to-day clinic operations, including patient service, facilities, supplies, technology, and office readiness.
    • Manage inventory, purchasing, and office expenditures.
    • Ensure the clinic is prepared for regulatory and compliance visits.
    • Follow and reinforce company policies, procedures, HIPAA requirements, and technology protocols.

    Improve the patient experience

    • Oversee the new-patient experience, from office tours and paperwork to patient portal registration and referrals.
    • Respond to and resolve patient and caregiver concerns with empathy and urgency.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the patient experience, reduce cancellations, and strengthen clinic performance.

    Use data to drive action

    • Monitor clinic KPIs and performance reports, including patient panels, utilization, quality measures, STARS/HEDIS, P&L, and budget.
    • Collect and interpret data to identify issues and opportunities.
    • Turn insights into practical changes that improve clinic performance.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Build a strong, accountable, and engaged Medical Assistant team.
    • Create a clinic environment where patients feel welcomed, cared for, and known.
    • Partner effectively with physicians and cross-functional teams.
    • Keep clinic operations organized, compliant, and running smoothly.
    • Use data to identify problems early and improve performance.
    • Develop your team through regular coaching, feedback, and performance conversations.

    About You

    You bring:

    • Healthcare operations experience — You’ve managed the day-to-day operations of a medical office, clinic, or similar healthcare environment.
    • People leadership — You’ve led, coached, or managed a team and know how to set clear expectations, give feedback, and help people grow.
    • Strong organizational skills — You can juggle competing priorities without losing track of the details that keep a clinic running.
    • Patient-first judgment — You know how to handle patient and caregiver concerns with empathy while still making sound operational decisions.
    • Problem-solving skills — When something isn’t working, you don’t just flag it—you figure out what’s happening and take action.
    • Data fluency — You’re comfortable working with KPIs, reports, budgets, and operational data to understand performance and make decisions.
    • Healthcare compliance knowledge — You understand HIPAA and the importance of following healthcare policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Clear communication — You communicate directly, listen well, and can work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and cross-functional partners.
    • Systems comfort — You’re comfortable learning and working across EHRs and everyday business tools such as Google Workspace.
    • A mindset grounded in our core values of Heart, Excellence, Accountability, Resilience, and Teamwork

    You’ll stand out if you:

    • Have experience as a Medical Assistant or hold a current Medical Assistant certification.
    • Bring 5+ years of people leadership or management experience.
    • Have worked with eClinicalWorks (ECW), Epic, or another EHR.
    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Have used operational data and KPIs to identify problems and improve clinic performance.
    • Have worked in a fast-growing healthcare organization, building, improving, or scaling processes along the way.
    • Have a track record of building strong teams, developing people, and creating a positive, accountable culture.
