Water and Wastewater Operator Level 1 or 2

Operator Main Responsibilities

Working under the guidance of the supervisor, you’re responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the Water & Wastewater facilities. This position will report to the area Operations Manager.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• • Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring, reporting, process adjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facilities;
  • Troubleshooting plant operations;
  • Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts, chemicals, & consumables;
  • Operate and monitor Lift Stations and Lagoons;
  • Operate Distribution and Collection systems;
  • Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required;
  • Perform maintenance tasks;
  • Perform laboratory analysis and reporting;
  • Preparation weekly, monthly, annual reports as required;
  • Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely);
  • Participate and comply with all aspects of the company’s health and safety program.

Hours of Work

The Operator position will be 10 days on and 4 days off totaling 40 Hours/week.

Required Qualifications

• Current Level I or II Water Treatment Operator Certification at minimum (proof of certification is required);
• Ability to lift 25 kg (55lb);
• Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge;
• Ability to work under pressure quickly and efficiently
• Excellent problem solving skills;
• Microsoft Office program experience;
• Strong independent worker and team player;
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Proven ability to supervise and communicate with staff members;
• Positive attitude and able to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.
