Floor/Project Technician

Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team and assist with commercial floor care projects. This position will focus on maintaining and restoring floors in schools and other facilities while ensuring a clean, safe, and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform floor stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and refinishing.
• Operate floor-care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers.
• Complete carpet cleaning and other specialty floor-care projects as needed.
• Move and reset furniture and equipment safely during projects.
• Follow proper chemical handling, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding project progress, concerns, or additional needs.

Schedule:

Must have a flexible schedule Mon-Fri with some weekends as needed. Mostly second shift. 

Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or floor-care experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to safely operate floor-care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and furniture as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:

Must pass a background check, reliably communite and handle the physical workload. Must be dependable and possess a strong work ethic. Prefer previous cleaning experience. Offers of employment are contingent on a satisfactory background check and confirmation of eligibility to work in the United States.
