Finacle Product Engineer - Core Banking

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application support for Retail Assets applications within the Core Banking platform.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production defects and application issues.
• Support Retail Assets Automation Testing initiatives and Production Business Platform Improvements (PBI).
• Ensure production stability by monitoring application health and responding to critical incidents.
• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent fixes to reduce recurring issues.
• Drive defect management activities and coordinate timely resolution with development teams.
• Own and improve test automation coverage for the Retail Assets module.
• Lead stabilization initiatives across multiple banking entities and environments.
• Coordinate application patches, software upgrades, deployments, and production releases.
• Work closely with Development, QA, Business, and Production Support teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Participate in release planning, deployment validation, and post-release support.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, defect reports, RCA documents, and support knowledge base.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with  Finacle Scripting Strong Oracle Database experience SQL and PL/SQL Production Support Incident Management Defect Analysis & Resolution Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Test Automation Retail Assets Domain Core Banking Applications Application Support Production Stability Management Software Debugging & Troubleshooting Release & Deployment Support Patch Management Banking Application Support Preferred Skills Experience working in enterprise banking environments.
• Exposure to Core Banking implementations and support.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
• Experience 4–8+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Product Engineering.
• Hands-on experience supporting Finacle-based banking applications.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and defect fixing.
• Experience working with Oracle databases and SQL.

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for production support, defect resolution, test automation, and ensuring platform stability while collaborating closely with development and business teams.
• This role requires hands-on experience in maintaining mission-critical banking applications, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvements in software quality and system reliability.
