Role Summary:

As an Account Director at GTT, you will own strategic client relationships with high-value customers across your region. You will drive significant commercial growth, guide account strategy, partner with senior stakeholders and collaborate with Solutions Consulting, Marketing and Customer Success to deliver impactful outcomes and long-term value.

Location(s) : Minneapolis/St Paul surrounding suburbs AND Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage strategic enterprise customer relationships across assigned accounts.

• Drive adoption of GTT’s global connectivity and managed network portfolio, including SD-WAN, SASE & Cloud Networking  

• Translate customer business priorities into scalable network and security solutions that deliver measurable commercial impact.

• Develop and execute long-term account strategies focused on retention and revenue expansion.

• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities aligned with customer goals and GTT capabilities.

• Conduct regular executive-level business reviews and strategic planning sessions.

• Collaborate with internal teams including Solutions Consulting and Customer Success to deliver customer outcomes.

• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline updates and commercial documentation within CRM systems.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior executives in discussions around business strategy, financial impact, risk mitigation, and technology transformation initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of enterprise sales or account management experience in telecommunications, managed services, cloud, or cybersecurity.

• Proven success driving revenue growth, retention, and expansion within complex enterprise accounts.

• Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles and building relationships with executive decision makers.

• Strong understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, cloud networking, managed services, and connectivity solutions.

• Experience selling to multi-location or global enterprise organizations within a matrixed environment.

• Familiarity with strategic sales methodologies such as Richardson, Challenger, MEDDPICC, or Value Selling.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud preferred.

• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, forecasting, and account planning skills.

Hours/Travel/Shift:

• Standard business hours with regular regional travel for onsite client engagements.
