Job Description:

Employment Terms: This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Computer Science Division that reports to the Program Director – Web Design and Game Development.

Salary – Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum bases on contact hours taught.

Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10317): Bachelor’s degree in field OR Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline. Must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.  Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned 

Preferred Qualifications –

Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science related field.  Working knowledge of Game Development and Design, Unity, Unreal engine, Python, Advanced JavaScript, jQuery, LAMP Stack, Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, Illustrator, Canvas, Java, and .NET. Teaching or Industry experience with Game and Web development is ideal.

Job Description: Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material in one or more of the following courses: Game Design and Development, Advanced Game Physics, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign), Mobile Development, Advanced Scripting (JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Ruby, Perl, LAMP, etc.), MySQL, .NET/C#/ ASP/Node.js, PHP I & II, Ruby on Rails, Java Program Design and Development/Systems Analysis and design

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.  (10%)  

• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. (25%) 

• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.  (10%)  

• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.  (20%)  

• Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.  (15%)  

• Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.  (10%)  

• May be required to act as a Campus Security Authority; completing all responsibilities and trainings that go along with the initiative. (5%)  

• Performs other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Gwinnett Technical College. (5%)
