A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you’ll harness your exceptional organizational and leadership skills and leverage your expertise to play a pivotal role in driving projects forward! Your role as Mechanical Foreman will include:
- Leading and mentoring a crew of 10+ Journeymen and Apprentice Plumbers, organizing and maintaining scheduled installations of building mechanical systems.
- Overseeing the installation of all materials, equipment, and systems proficiently to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Performing quality control inspections to exceed client expectations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Planning and coordinating sub-trades, identifying efficiencies and cost-savings to maximize project success.
- Supervising workers and projects, arranging training sessions, and coordinating manpower scheduling with the developer/general contractor.
- Accurately completing and submitting all necessary paperwork, such as HSE reporting, 3-week lookaheads, and QA/QC.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Foreman or in a Lead Hand role on residential multi-unit or commercial sites.
- Hydronic experience in heating, cooling, mechanical rooms, grooved, victaulic and cast iron experience. (considered and asset).
- Red Seal Plumber Certification.
- Positive and driven leader with experience managing small teams and projects.
- Proficiency in plumbing installations, plumbing code, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong understanding and exposure to industry safe work practices (safety is a priority for us!).
- Outstanding time and project management skills to complete work on time and within budget, along with a self-motivated attitude to maintain productivity without supervision.
- Reliable and dependable team player that shows up on time.
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems and technology.
- You bring solutions to any roadblock that comes up on the job.

- Additional certifications or training relevant to the role including:
- First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Gas Fitter
- Boom/Scissor Lift
- Forklift
